Toyota Prius, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Volkswagen (VW) Polo as a finalist World Car Of The Year (WCOTY) 2010.
The winners will be announced in the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), 1 April next. From the list of 30 cars entered nomonation, only ten are entered as a finalist.

Three of the ten finalists WCOTY then announced in alphabetical order, the E-Class, the Prius, and Polo. To qualify as WCOTY 2010, the car is judged from the total awards, production, and sold, on at least two continents during 2009. The cars that go WCOTY selected by an international jury panel made up of 59 automotive journalists from 25 countries around the world. Each juror was appointed by the World Car Steering Committee on the basis of expertise, experience, credibility, and influence on the automotive industry. Each juror typically test and evaluate new vehicles on a regular basis as part of their professional work.
